Pick a mode and Nani Sore goes to work — caption, premonition, description, or shooting tips. You can save it as a draft while it thinks.
Keep it or share it
Leave it on Local and it stays yours. Flip it to Public and it joins the gallery, where everyone can see what you pointed at.

Follow anyone you like — no approval needed. When you both follow each other, you're friends, and that single fact unlocks nearly everything else.

An honest note about all of this. Nani Sore is one person's project and it's in active development. The feed described above is designed in detail but not yet written — the app you'd test today has the camera, the four modes, and the simple public gallery you can see in the screenshots.
Everything here can change. Nothing on this page is a promise of a ship date, and features may be cut, reshaped, or arrive in a different order. Join the beta list and you'll hear about it as it lands.

Nothing is shared
until you share it.
Every post starts on Local. Photos you take in Nani Sore are stored on our servers so your results follow you between devices, and you can save any of them to your own camera roll whenever you want. Making one public is always a deliberate tap, never automatic.
You can take photos without an account.An account is only required to share or see other people's posts.

The short version of who touches what
- Firebase handles sign-in, your account record, photo storage, and messaging.
- OpenAI receives only the photo you tapped Analyze on and the prompt you typed — nothing else.
- Sign in with Apple or email are the two ways in. Your name and profile are editable; email is tied to the account for now.
- AI results can be wrong. Read the caption before you post it, and don't plan your week around the fortune.

Nani Sore is completely free during testing. Subscription tiers are being designed and are not available yet — nothing in the app charges you today, and there is no payment screen to stumble into.

Paying will never outrank posting. Level is earned by showing up, and no subscription buys a level — a paid account gets exactly one extra post per window, and that's the only place the two lanes meet.
QUESTIONS
Nani sore, exactly?
So what does the name mean?
“Nani sore” (なにそれ！？) is Japanese for “what's that?!” — the exact noise you make when you spot something odd and reach for your phone. That's the whole app in two words.
Do I need an account?
Not to take photos. You'll need one to share to the gallery or see what other people have posted. You can sign in with Apple or with an email address and password.
Can I add friends yet?
Not yet. Sharing today means posting to a single public gallery that everyone can see. Friends, following, replies and private posts are designed and are the next thing being built — there's a full breakdown in What's coming.
Where do my photos go?
Photos taken inside Nani Sore are stored on our servers using Firebase, so your results are there when you come back. You can save any photo to your own device, and you can delete photos — or your entire account — from inside the app.
What does the AI actually see?
When you tap Analyze, the photo you selected and the prompt you entered are sent to OpenAI to generate the result. Nothing is sent for analysis unless you tap the button.
Is the fortune telling real?
Absolutely not. “My Future” is a party trick generated from what's in your photo. Enjoy it, screenshot it, do not make financial decisions with it.
How old do I have to be?
Nani Sore is for people aged 13 and over. When the feed arrives, accounts under 16 will be friends-only by default, won't appear in Discover, and will need to approve anyone who wants to follow them.
When can I try it?
